Describe your passion
My passion is running our business, Mirador Community Store!  It serves as an umbrella for the many ideas and products that I am interested in; from cooking healthy food, caring about the environment, to shopping local and connecting to our community.
What is delicious Community?
What comes up for me when I hear “delicious community” is the delight I have at what the Portland community is up to.  Many, many products are made by small, local companies in Portland now. It is a pleasure to help support that.
Keepers™ are special because…
Keepers are special because they help us use fewer disposables! They’re made in Portland, easy to use and care for, and I love the colors.
My favorite Keepers™ recipe is
Whole wheat bread & bacon tempeh, both made by my husband Steve, tomato (when in season), mayo & lettuce and maybe some avocado.
My “one thing” is
My ‘one thing’ is, the huge impact that what we eat can have on our lives and by extension, the planet. I love to advocate for doing a lot of home cooking, eating plenty of fresh fruits & veggies, and knowing where our food is grown. Cooking is a sustainable practice! Every day, what we eat helps make us healthy (or doesn’t), and also makes a big difference for the environment.
